ReadTwice project kick-off meeting

On October 14th CICANT participated in the online kick-off meeting of the project ReadTwice. Researchers Ana Filipa Oliveira and Maria José Brites represent CICANT’s team in this project funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program. Non-governmental organization Evro Advans (Bulgaria) is the project coordinator. Other partners include non-governmental and non-profit association Udruga za promicanje aktivnog građanstva – ECHO (Croatia), association Se Poate (Romania) and non-profit organization Alliance4Europe GGMBH (Germany). The project will run for 18 months.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

READ TWICE is a project that aims to counter disinformation and limit the spread of fake news by enhancing citizens` skills to critically assess information, identify vicious and harmful media content and distinguish between facts and opinions, thus improving their media literacy competences. The project will promote capacity building training and other events aimed at young media practitioners, university students, stakeholders and other multipliers.
