The XIV Lusocom Congress took place between October 25th and 26th at Porto. This years’ edition proposed a reflection under the theme "Digital Media and Citizenship in the Intercultural Networks of the Portuguese Language". Researchers Carla Sousa, Fábio Sandes and Teresa Maia e Carmo participated in the event. Post-doctoral fellows Ana Sofia Pereira and Marta Martins also presented two papers related to the national projects YouNDigital and FEMGlocal, both currently underway with funding from the Foundation for Science and Technology.
ABOUT LUSOCOM
Lusocom is a federation of scientific associations of Communication Sciences in the Portuguese-speaking world. It was founded in 1998 and brings together the Mozambican Association of Information and Communication Sciences (Acicom), the Galician Association of Communication Researchers (Agacom), the Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies (Intercom), the Cape Verdean Association of Communication Sciences (Mediacom) and the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (Sopcom). Its congress takes place every two years.
