The 1st edition of the Fashion&Sustainability International Conference took place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November, in Cascais and Lisbon, with the presence of some of the most important specialists in the field: Professor Dilys Williams, Professor Giovanni Conti, Professor Maria Tamames, Engineer Ana Tavares, Professor Rita Almendra, Professor Roberto Liberti, Professor Philip Fimmano, Professor Sofia Pantouvaki, Professor Suzana Martins and Professor Irene Maldini. Over the course of three days, pertinent questions were debated about solutions for a more effective practice in the fashion world, where the industry played a key role in the debate, in a strong sinergy with the academic studies and research. Practical approaches dialogued with approaches still in the theoretical sphere, but which well developed can be put into practice, in order to create effective solutions. And also very important is the relationship between the industry and the Fashion students. The conference took place successfully and efficiently, as it had key partners such as Universidade Lusófona, Cascais City Council, Tintex, Adalberto, Associação Selectiva Moda, CITEVE, Caramulo, RufoBrand and BeStitch.
