The podcast “Feminisms in Action” launched its first episode December 23rd, 2022!
What is feminism? What interactions and contradictions can we find between local and global activisms, between street and digital activisms, in a national context? How are feminisms defined and mapped in Portugal? This podcast, developed within the scope of the FEMglocal project (funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology - PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021), aims to open the space for discussing issues such as these and others alike, encouraging critical reflection, dissemination of knowledge, as well as the creation of an archive and memory log related to feminisms.
In its first episode, and in a conversation conducted by FEMglocal’s researcher and journalist Vanessa Rodrigues, Alexa Santos (director of the Gender and Feminisms department at INMUNE - Black Women’s Institute in Portugal), Manuela Tavares (cofounder and board member at UMAR - Women’s Association Alternative and Response), and Carla Cerqueira (PI of the FEMglocal project) introduce the topic of feminism(s) whilst presenting FEMglocal’s scope of action.
The first episode of the podcast “Feminisms in Action” is available here, as well as on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Amazon Music.
