Hugo Barata and Júlio Alves, collaborator researchers from CICANT, will premiere the installation "24 Лютого 2022 Року / 24th February 2022" at MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, the next 7th February at 6 p.m.
The installation is part of a series of works that the authors have been producing within the project FRAME[scapes], which focuses around the theme of the circulation of images in contemporary societies, namely exploring the concept of geocinematics.
The project 24 Лютого 2022 Року / 24 February 2022 is deeply influenced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It aims to involve the audience in a reflection on the constant remembrance of the first days of the war and the images that both the media and those directly involved in it recorded. It is a kaleidoscope of images collected from various channels - from Youtube to Telegram - which in the exhibition space becomes a real of observation. It is a testimony of our condition - as spectators, and above all as witnesses for the future.
The exhibition will be on display until march 6th.
