Carla Cerqueira at Round Table on women and social sciences

On March 2nd at 6 pm, the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto hosted a roundtable discussion in a sociological café format at Galeria Geraldes da Silva. 

This roundtable, organized by the itinerant feminist and activist group Feminismos sobre Rodas [Feminisms on Wheels] within the scope of the Meeting "Quando o feminismo bate o pé, o mundo treme" ["When Feminism puts its foot down, the world shakes"], featured four accomplished researchers at different stages of their careers: Isabel Dias, Lígia Ferro, and Paula Freire (from ISUP/FLUP), and Carla Cerqueira, PI of the research project FEMglocal - Glocal Feminist Movements: Interactions and Contradictions, financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology, FCT, through national funds - PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021 (from Lusófona University - Porto University Center). They engaged in a lively conversation exploring topics such as career paths and challenges, balancing family and work life, and future anxieties and expectations.
