C-ACCELERATE Plus builds on the success of the original C-ACCELERATE project and aims to enhance innovation and entrepreneurial capacity in higher
education institutions (HEIs) within the cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI). Anchored in the FilmEU Alliance, the project expands the network by integrating new HEIs from Widening and RIS countries and scaling its activities through business acceleration, inclusive training programmes, and joint
innovation structures.
The consortium includes seven HEIs from seven European countries and partners from industry and the not-for-profit sector. Together, they will deliver targeted support for students, researchers, academic and non-academic staff to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, launch start-ups, and co-create innovative solutions for the digital and green transition within CCSI.
C-ACCELERATE Plus will:
- Implement new accelerator programmes and project-based incubation formats;
- Develop micro-credentials and sector-specific short courses across partner institutions;
- Establish joint infrastructures such as creative factories and an Artistic Intelligence Transfer Office;
- Build mentoring networks involving academia, industry, and alumni;
- Strengthen institutional engagement and support structures for innovation and entrepreneurship.
By leveraging experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a strong focus on regional ecosystem engagement, the project seeks to institutionalise entrepreneurship education and ensure the long-term sustainability of innovation activities in the arts and creative industries.
