Maria José Brites, Carla Cerqueira, Ana F. Oliveira and Célia Taborda Silva participated in the ICA's 72nd annual conference. CICANT's researchers presented results and discussed the evolution of some of the center's most recent projects. In focus were the SMaRT-EU and Femglocal projects. The authors participated in several thematic sessions and a panel dedicated to Inclusive Media Education. The researcher Carla Cerqueira chaired a panel session about "Women in Journalism: Newsrooms, Unions, Protest and Online Hate".
The conference, one of the most relevant at the international level, took place between 26 and 30 May, in Paris, and marked the return of the face-to-face event after two years in virtual format.
Also, Maria José Brites and Teresa Sofia Castro presented a paper at the ICA Pre-conference on Young People and News in a Digital World: Local and Global Perspectives, with yearly results of the YouNDigital project.
