On June 28, 2022, the official kick-off meeting of the CICANT project FEMglocal – Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions, coordinated by researchers Carla Cerqueira (PI) and Célia Taborda (Co-PI), and funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, was held via Zoom. This research project aims to analyse the glocal feminist movements anchored in the Portuguese context, focusing on social mobilization, communication and media visibility strategies. Bringing together members from the research team and consultants, this meeting allowed for the project’s planned tasks, goals, methodologies, workflow, outlets and milestones to be shared, discussed and aligned. Furthermore, the podcast “Feminisms in Action”, developed within the scope of the project as one of its outlets, was introduced, and excerpts from the first episode, that will be publicly released shortly, were showcased. Closing the meeting, the FEMglocal logo was presented to the team and consultants.
